  • “Ready in Season”
Be ready in season and out of season. —2 Timothy 4:2Many of us suffer from the unbalanced tendency to “be ready” only “out of season.” The season does not refer to time; it refers to us. This verse says, “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season.” In other words, we should […]
  • How the Prosperity Gospel Hurts Racial Reconciliation
When a prophet calls down fire from heaven, it’s wise to stand to the side. Looking forward to worship…

From the desk of the pastor:

Hebrews 10:23-25–“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” ESV

It is Saturday once again…another week has drawn to a close and we look forward to another eventful week. One of the best ways to prepare ourselves for the coming week is by heeding the words in the above verses. When we gather together we have the opportunity to encourage one another in the common faith that we hold in Jesus Christ.

When we gather together to worship God, we have the opportunity to ‘give’ encouragement to one another and, when we do so, we will ‘get’ encouragement in return.

I look forward to having the opportunity to encourage you tomorrow!
