• John 14:16-17
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Even in his suffering, while in prison for his beliefs, the Apostle Paul said "I am not ashamed" of the Gospel! We'll discover how Paul's fearless defense of the truth has powerful application for us today as our study in Second Timothy continues on Truth For Life with Alistair Begg!

We try to protect ourselves from pain. But Jesus said, “Blessed are they that mourn.” How can this be? It may not seem “heavenly” to allow yourself to feel pain, weep and mourn, but having the compassion of Christ is part of knowing His blessings in our lives and seeing God’s perspective.

Looking forward to worship…

From the desk of the pastor:

Hebrews 10:23-25–“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” ESV

It is Saturday once again…another week has drawn to a close and we look forward to another eventful week. One of the best ways to prepare ourselves for the coming week is by heeding the words in the above verses. When we gather together we have the opportunity to encourage one another in the common faith that we hold in Jesus Christ.

When we gather together to worship God, we have the opportunity to ‘give’ encouragement to one another and, when we do so, we will ‘get’ encouragement in return.

I look forward to having the opportunity to encourage you tomorrow!
