• Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.
  • City of Idols, Part 1 of 3 May 25, 2016
When Paul visited Athens, he discovered a city that was completely consumed with idol worship. Rather than rebuke their godless behavior, Paul felt compassion for the lost people of Athens. His compelling speech provides a model for us today, and it's our subject on Truth For Life with Alistair Begg!
  • The Doctrine of Actual Atonement, Part 2 May 25, 2016
You get a new credit card or cell phone—tools that will benefit you. But unless you first activate the card or phone, they’re worthless. See if benefiting from Christ’s work on the cross also requires activation today.
  • Dealing With Discouragement May 24, 2016
Any work for God is going to be met with opposition from the devil. When God's people have a mind to work the devil has a mind to wreck, and discouragement is his most valuable tool. But you can be armed against it and defeat him.

Looking forward to worship…

From the desk of the pastor:

Hebrews 10:23-25–“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” ESV

It is Saturday once again…another week has drawn to a close and we look forward to another eventful week. One of the best ways to prepare ourselves for the coming week is by heeding the words in the above verses. When we gather together we have the opportunity to encourage one another in the common faith that we hold in Jesus Christ.

When we gather together to worship God, we have the opportunity to ‘give’ encouragement to one another and, when we do so, we will ‘get’ encouragement in return.

I look forward to having the opportunity to encourage you tomorrow!
