  • Miles Apart in the Same House, Part 2 of 4 ('Til Death Do Us Part) October 21, 2016
When the family unit breaks down, culture itself breaks down. Communication failures affect nearly every marriage, and this began quite early in history. In fact, we have a record of it in the Garden of Eden. Let’s look at the damage sin can do.
  • Characteristics of Christian Love, Part 2 of 5 October 22, 2016
Talking about relationships among believers, Paul wrote, "Love is not easily angered, love keeps no record of wrongs, love does not delight in evil, love rejoices in the truth, and love always protects." Listen as our study in First Corinthians 13 continues on Truth For Life with Alistair Begg!
  • The Work of the Word, Part 1 October 21, 2016
When there’s a job to do, it’s important to have the right tool . . . and know how to use it effectively. The same is true when facing the spiritual challenges that are a part of everyday life. Of course, you know God’s Word is your guide . . . but how does it […]
  • How To Have A Healthy Self-Image October 21, 2016
Your self-image determines whether you're going to succeed or fail in your Christian life. Most people--saved or unsaved--have a poor self-image. Do you need some scriptural Windex for your spiritual mirror? Stifle stress before it stifles you!

God's way is best...

From the desk of the pastor:

Romans 11:33-“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!” ESV

In our day and age there are many programs that promote an answer to your problem or the things that you struggle with by following these “three easy steps”. It appears that given enough time there could be a formula for everything and maybe these formulas would work if everyone were the same.

This same ideology has crept into the church as well. What areas in the church can we simplify into a neat little program or formula? In light of this I want you to seriously contemplate the words of Paul in Romans 11. God is infinitely deep in His knowledge and wisdom while man is shallow and clouded by his own pride.

God cannot be placed into a box or a lamp like a genie. God knows each one of us better then we know ourselves and has the exact thing that we need to live the Christian life to its fullness, yet we fight Him at every turn. We need to quit fighting God and trust Him because His ways are unsearchable and inscrutable. May we this day surrender some area in our lives to God because then we will gain the real victory, a custom fit way!
