• Galatians 5:24
And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
  • When Jesus Observes Our Love, Part 1 of 3 (What Jesus Thinks of His Church) July 1, 2016
What can we learn from what Jesus had to say to the Church in Ephesus? Ephesus was a major city along the coast of what is now Turkey. Acts 18 tells of Paul’s founding of its local church. In Revelation, Jesus commended the Ephesian church, but then chastised them for leaving their first love.
  • Prepared to Give an Answer, Part 1 of 2 July 1, 2016
Sometimes Christians are reticent to share their faith because they feel unqualified to answer tough questions. So Peter challenges us to "be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks." Listen for practical instruction when our study in First Peter continues on Truth For Life with Alistair Begg.
  • The Danger of Overconfidence, Part 3 June 30, 2016
Those that have put their faith in Christ have miraculous freedom . . . "if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" . . . but could that liberty ever be a bad thing?
  • It's Prayer Time in America July 1, 2016
In this urgent plea for repentance and prayer, Adrian Rogers proclaims that there is hope for America, but this nation must turn, or she will die. God’s people play the pivotal role—for it’s we who must humble ourselves and pray if we are to survive!

God's way is best...

From the desk of the pastor:

Romans 11:33-“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!” ESV

In our day and age there are many programs that promote an answer to your problem or the things that you struggle with by following these “three easy steps”. It appears that given enough time there could be a formula for everything and maybe these formulas would work if everyone were the same.

This same ideology has crept into the church as well. What areas in the church can we simplify into a neat little program or formula? In light of this I want you to seriously contemplate the words of Paul in Romans 11. God is infinitely deep in His knowledge and wisdom while man is shallow and clouded by his own pride.

God cannot be placed into a box or a lamp like a genie. God knows each one of us better then we know ourselves and has the exact thing that we need to live the Christian life to its fullness, yet we fight Him at every turn. We need to quit fighting God and trust Him because His ways are unsearchable and inscrutable. May we this day surrender some area in our lives to God because then we will gain the real victory, a custom fit way!
