• Proverbs 15:29
The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
  • When Jesus Observes Our Hearts, Part 3 of 3 (What Jesus Thinks of His Church) July 29, 2016
Today’s church is rich in wealth, but poor in spiritual power. That’s the same indictment handed down by Jesus to the ancient church at Laodicea. He may have had our day in mind when He said, “Because you say ‘I’m rich’… you don’t know that you’re wretched, miserable, blind and naked.”
  • Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God, Part 1 of 2 July 29, 2016
The Bible is very clear that it's not man's role to save people, but it's the Spirit who brings transformation. So, then, what's our part in the process? On Truth For Life, Alistair Begg finds the answer in a conversation Jesus held with His disciples.
  • The Lord’s Word to His Church: Smyrna July 29, 2016
If Jesus wrote a letter to your local church . . . would He offer words of praise and encouragement . . . or correction and rebuke? What message would the Lord have for you and those you worship with?
  • Believing Is Seeing July 28, 2016
If there was ever a time for an earth-shaking, mountain-moving, devil-defying, sin-destroying, revival-bringing faith, this is the time, this is the age, this is the hour. And not only do we need to possess a faith; we need to have a faith that possesses us.

God's way is best...

From the desk of the pastor:

Romans 11:33-“Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!” ESV

In our day and age there are many programs that promote an answer to your problem or the things that you struggle with by following these “three easy steps”. It appears that given enough time there could be a formula for everything and maybe these formulas would work if everyone were the same.

This same ideology has crept into the church as well. What areas in the church can we simplify into a neat little program or formula? In light of this I want you to seriously contemplate the words of Paul in Romans 11. God is infinitely deep in His knowledge and wisdom while man is shallow and clouded by his own pride.

God cannot be placed into a box or a lamp like a genie. God knows each one of us better then we know ourselves and has the exact thing that we need to live the Christian life to its fullness, yet we fight Him at every turn. We need to quit fighting God and trust Him because His ways are unsearchable and inscrutable. May we this day surrender some area in our lives to God because then we will gain the real victory, a custom fit way!
